Where do I being when it comes to Monday Night Raw? Let's recall what happened; John Cena confronted Kevin Owens, Neville faced the NXT Champion Kevin Owens and unfortunately lost, all of the contenders in the Money in the Bank ladder match had single matches (I'll talk about each match later in the post), the truth set J&J Security and Kane free from Seth Rollins, the Divas Champion Nikkie Bella was in action with Summer Rae, Titus took on Big E, Los Matadores faced Luke Harper & Erick Rowan, and Miz TV took place with special guests Intercontinental Champion Ryback & the Big Show.
Let's talk about the NXT Championship match first, shall we? This whole thing started because John was doing his weekly U.S. Open Challenge. Before the challenge was accepted John talked about Kevin Owens and why he's not the man the WWE Universe should be behind. Now I love Cena and I don't know about you guys, but I'm tired of having John Cena shoved in my face. So I have no problem rooting for Kevin at Money in the Bank. But anyways back to what happened; Kevin interrupted and wanted to do an NXT Open Challenge, but not with John Cena who of course accepted Kevin's challenge. Kevin suggested that who ever came out can decide what can decide what title they wanted to compete for. The New Sensation Neville competed for the NXT title because he felt like Kevin Owens doesn't deserve the title. The match was incredible Neville went for his finisher I believe 3 times in a row, and Kevin countered his attack every time. Now let's move on to the single matches between the Money in the Bank participants.
There were 3 matches; Roman Reigns vs. Kofi Kingston, Randy Orton vs. Sheamus, & Dolph Ziggler vs. Kane. I believe the best match was Sheamus vs. Orton, let's talk about that match first. Orton wanted to hurt Sheamus for what Sheamus did to Orton on SmackDown, plus he wanted to weaken him before Sunday. Orton was giving Sheamus a beating. Sheamus got the upper hand a few times but when the fight went outside the ring that's when Orton stopped caring about the match. He wanted to put Sheamus out of commission before Sunday. So the Viper did what he does best and struck his prey. He slammed Sheamus into the barricade, pushed him face first into the ring post, slammed him onto the announce table, threw him into the rings steps, stomped Sheamus' head on the steps, and topped it off with a RKO in the middle of the ring. I believe Orton was the highlight of the night.
Reigns vs Kofi started off with shades of The Shield. Kofi, Xavier Woods, and Big E surrounded the ring like they were going to jump Reigns. Surprisingly that was the only time the rest of New Day got involved in the match. I think they should've interfered because Roman was dominate throughout most of the match. Kofi was off the walls with his aerial attacks. One his aerial attacks costed him the match when Reigns Superman Punched Kofi just as he was coming off the top rope. I know New Day was positively mad when Kofi lost losing momentum going into Sunday. And on a completely different note; is anybody else waiting for New Day to disband. As individuals they're great, but as a group they're annoying and they makes me want to change the channel.
Dolph Ziggler vs. Kane ended up with Lana getting all of the attention. Ziggler was showing off as usual and Kane was trying to shut Ziggler's show down. Those two were putting on a show going back and forth. Lana was on the ramp enjoying the match until Rusev came out. Rusev forced Lana to fall off the ramp and twist her ankle. Here's my opinion about that, get over it Lana you'll be fine it's not like you broke your leg.
Nikki Bella took on Summer Rae I don't have much to say about this match because I believe the Diva's division is in dire need of help, it needs AJ Lee back.
Miz TV was comical with Ryback and Big Show making fun of The Miz. Miz got tired of Big Show bullying him and he decided to stand up for him by attacking Big Show from behind. Miz should've came up with a better attack plan because Big Show tossed Miz out of the ring, then ryback hit Big Show with the Shell Shock.
J & J Security faced WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins in a handicap match because believe it or not that's what Seth wanted. The Authority gave Seth the power to pick his opponent for the night. Seth picked J & J to prove to them and to The Authority that he doesn't need their help, and that he meant every word he said about them last week. Kane decided to be at ring side to support J & J. Dean Ambrose who was enjoying life on Bourbon Street all day with Seth's title got a front row seat for Seth's match. Dean gave Seth his belt back when he seen that Jamie Noble was about to get Pedigreed. Seth got distracted of course, went for his belt, and then he got pinned by Joey Mercury. Dean hit Seth with Dirty Deeds and took Seth's title once again. The Lunatic Fringe is ready to be called Champion and the WWE Universe is ready to call him Champion.
